Vic Mensa identifies the Voice Memos app as his most indispensable tool. He uses it to capture songs, essay ideas, thoughts about orange trees, voice notes, and things his son says. Mensa describes his phone as containing a million distractions but finds Voice Memos honest. He advises capturing ideas immediately before they disappear using the app.

Mensa started his social media presence by peeling an orange and talking through whatever was on his mind. He uses Instagram as his most used social media platform. The response to his Instagram content helped him realize there was room for The Vic Mensa Show. He wishes Meta glasses would go away because he believes they are being used for evil.

Mensa is most proud of his upcoming album because it is the first he has taken himself completely seriously as a producer. He is excited about the art, videos, design, clothing, and world he is building around the album. He focuses by doing Shambhavi Mahamudra meditation learned from Sadhguru or the Wim Hof breathing method. He ideally performs the Wim Hof breathing method in the steam room followed by meditation. Mensa believes anything that touches your life every day is worth splurging on. He lists a good mattress, good headphones, quality food, clothes you will keep for years, and experiences with your child as things worth splurging on. He admits he has wasted money on plenty of dumb shit and is trying to buy things that last or make a real memory.
