The UK Space Agency has requested names for its Active Debris Removal Mission, a project led by ClearSpace UK. The mission intends to remove a pair of UK-registered satellites from Low Earth Orbit. The Register readership submitted name suggestions for the mission, with 'SpaceyMcSpaceFace' and 'Binny McBinFace' taking an early lead in the voting.

Several other suggestions appeared during the process. 'Dusty Bin' was a suggestion inspired by the British game show '3-2-1'. 'SHART' stands for Satellite Harvesting And Re-entry Tug, while 'Project TIDY' stands for Targeted Intervention for Debris in the Yard. 'Prime Binister' was a suggestion that tickled The Register's fancy. 'Baron Binface' was a suggestion serving as a tribute to the UK's most famous second-place candidate.

A candidate named Count Binface stood in the Clacton by-election in 2026. Count Binface presented as an intergalactic space warrior with a dustbin for a head. Count Binface came second in the Clacton by-election after almost ten thousand voters preferred him to Nigel Farage. Nigel Farage won the Clacton by-election by a substantial margin. Binface and McBinface have secured the popular vote for the satellite clean-up mission among Register readers. The Register asked Count Binface for thoughts on the mission.
