Nissan launched a new version of its Rogue SUV in the US featuring the latest e-Power hybrid system. This engine generates 148 hp and operates at 42 percent thermal efficiency. The system charges a 1.67 kWh lithium-ion battery that powers electric motors on both axles. The front motor produces 202 hp and 243 lb-ft of torque, while the rear motor provides 134 hp and 144 lb-ft. Due to battery limitations, the combined power output is rated at 225 hp. The vehicle achieves a 0–60 mph time of 6.4 seconds and offers a one-pedal driving mode.

The e-Power system has been on sale in Japan for a decade with over 1.4 million cars sold. Nissan retuned the system for the US market to handle harder acceleration and bigger vehicles. The Rogue Hybrid is rated at 41 mpg in the city, 36 mpg on the highway, and 38 mpg combined. The Tech package includes a 14.3-inch touchscreen running Android Automotive OS. The vehicle also features Zero Gravity seats inspired by puffer jacket design.

The SR trim with the Tech Package is initially available for $41,490. An SV trim priced at $35,490 and a Platinum trim priced at $43,490 are scheduled to be added in January. Nissan expects the sales mix to consist of 30 percent SV, 50 percent SR, and 20 percent Platinum.
