Hong Kong has named Nasdaq-listed Solana Company a strategic enterprise under a government program designed to attract businesses supporting the city's economic development. The company was included in the seventh batch of selections by the Office for Attracting Strategic Enterprises. It is the only blockchain infrastructure company onboarded by this office in 2026. The government confirmed the addition of 18 enterprises to the program last week, bringing the total number of strategic enterprises to 142.

The designation provides Solana Company with a single point of contact across government agencies and regulators. It also offers expedited pathways for recruiting overseas talent and introductions to local institutional partners. Solana Company operates staking and validator infrastructure and advises financial institutions on blockchain adoption. The firm holds Solana as part of its digital asset treasury strategy.

Solana Company plans to establish validator operations in Hong Kong under Pacific Backbone. This initiative aims to build a low-latency blockchain infrastructure network across the Asia-Pacific region.
