Upwind Security Raises $400M at $3.8B Valuation
Upwind Security secured a $400 million Series C round led by Bessemer Venture Partners at a $3.8 billion valuation.
Upwind Security announced on Wednesday that it raised $400 million in a Series C funding round. Bessemer Venture Partners led the investment, which valued the company at $3.8 billion. This valuation represents an increase from $1.5 billion in January. Canapi Ventures joined as a new investor in the round. The company has now raised more than $800 million in total funding since its founding in 2022.
The funding follows a decision by Upwind Security to remain independent after Datadog attempted to acquire the company. Datadog did not offer a premium above the $3.8 billion valuation set by venture capital investors. This financing occurred nine months after a previous $250 million round.
Founded by Amiram Shachar, the company provides a platform that collects runtime intelligence from cloud workloads, APIs, and AI agents. It supports Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, and Oracle Cloud. Upwind Security plans to use the new capital for product and engineering growth.
