Strategy shareholders approved an amendment to the company's charter that allows dividends to accrue every calendar day on four preferred stock series. Preliminary voting results indicate that 99.3% of the votes cast were in favor of the change. The amendment specifically covers the preferred stocks designated as STRF, STRC, STRK, and STRD. Under the new structure, dividends will accrue daily but are scheduled to be paid on the next business day. The first record and payment dates for STRC are set for November 1 and 2, 2026. For STRF, STRK, and STRD, the initial record and payment dates are scheduled for January 1 and 4, 2027.

The STRC series pays a variable rate that Strategy can change at its discretion. The rate for STRC for the month ended June 30, 2026, was 11.50%. The company stated that the change would reduce reinvestment lag and enhance liquidity. Final vote certification is expected in a company filing, and board action remains the final step before any new payment schedule begins.

In related financial developments, Strategy paused Bitcoin purchases for the prior week and maintained its holdings at 848,517 BTC. The company spent $204.9 million repurchasing STRC preferred stock while retaining a $4.83 billion cash reserve. Strategy's common stock, MSTR, is down near 50% over the past year, although it has risen by a figure approaching 1,000% since the company began buying bitcoin in 2020. Strategy acquired its Bitcoin holdings for $64.02 billion at an average price of $75,446 per Bitcoin. Another bitcoin-treasury company, Strive, pays cash dividends on its Variable Rate Series A Perpetual Preferred Stock every business day.
