iFixit disassembled the iPhone Duo and assigned it a repairability score of 5 out of 10. The internal screen features a matte nano-texture cover designed to mask the crease by scattering reflections. Under a microscope, iFixit observed oval-shaped subpixels arranged at various angles, believing they are designed to reduce artifacts and mask the display crease. The nano-texture outer layer is relatively easy to replace without swapping out the underlying OLED panel, although repairing the display itself remains difficult and expensive.
