DeepSeek Proposes System for Autonomous AI Coding Agents
Chinese AI firm DeepSeek has unveiled a design to reduce human oversight in managing multiple coding agents.
Chinese artificial intelligence company DeepSeek has revealed a design intended to increase the autonomy of AI coding assistants. The proposed system aims to reduce human input in coordinating and monitoring multiple AI agents. DeepSeek's team stated that managing multiple agents demands human attention because multitask limits depend on human attention. A person can oversee only three to five active AI agent sessions simultaneously. The new proposal would distribute tasks among agents and coordinate their work to address these constraints.
This development comes amid intense competition among AI developers, including US companies Anthropic and OpenAI. Cointelegraph reported that Chinese artificial intelligence models were outperforming US counterparts in cryptocurrency trading last October. In that experiment, the DeepSeek chatbot was the only AI model to generate a positive unrealized return of 9.1%. The company developed its technology at a fraction of the cost of its US rivals.
