Blockstream has launched a new consulting business aimed at financial institutions and opened an office in Lugano, Switzerland. The service supports clients through the evaluation, design, and implementation of Bitcoin-based financial infrastructure. The company plans to develop solutions for tokenized asset issuance, confidential settlement, and related infrastructure. The Lugano office will serve as a hub for European operations, with clients expected across Zurich, Geneva, and Zug.

Blockstream framed the move as part of a long-term commitment to Switzerland and a strategy to support institutional Bitcoin adoption.

The consulting business draws on experience in cryptography, protocol engineering, security, and financial technology. No pricing or headcount details were disclosed for the new services or office.
